What You'll Find Here
Our goal is to be a comprehensive web site, with all the information and resources that local Jews, or those visiting the area or planning a move here, might need or find useful and interesting. You will be able to see what's going on in the Jewish community, get answers to your Jewish questions, have access to the equivalent of a local Jewish "yellow pages," and perhaps discover new and interesting paths to explore.
ShalomBoston.com maintains searchable directories of Jewish non-profit agencies and institutions of all types and kosher food businesses, updated regularly with the most current information. We have a Marketplace for classified ads, business services, and event planning. We have an extremely well-used Calendar, with layers for community events of Jewish interest and for religious information. Our extensive food section, with menus, recipes, and tips for the cook, is one of our most popular features. Information on the demographics of our community, local sites of Jewish interest, volunteer opportunities, and an Israel section are permanent items. We also have special articles and features, depending on the season, and two discussion forums – one general and one devoted to food – so that our visitors can share ideas, ask questions, and exchange opinions and information with one another on various topics. For information that we don't currently maintain on our own site, we happily point out other sources that you may link to or contact offline. To see all that we have to offer, take a look at the index and browse the website.
